Snowstops

Snowstops are a necessity on almost every steel roof. Steep pitched roofs definitely need snowstops. We do not install the plastic tab style snowstops as they split and crack over time. We install steel snowstops in either 10 foot lengths or staggered 2 foot lengths. On standing seam roofs we install tubular steel snowstops that clamp onto the seam rib. The regular steel snowstops come in a colour that matches the steel roof panel. Snowstops should be installed above doorways, walkways, above decks and driveways and in front of plumbing stacks or chimneys in order to prevent damage from sliding snow and ice by breaking it up as it slides off the roof. Snowstops also protect your eavestroughs from being torn off by sliding ice and snow.
